Harnessing and Using the Energy Created by Drumming
Drumming MeditationGuest article by Sourcerer
Begin
by doing your favorite relaxation exercise for 5 minutes. Here is one I
have found is incredibly simple and effective:
Begin by visualizing a cloudless blue sky above you and a green
field all around you. As you look into the distance you see something
golden floating in the air. It's difficult to make out exactly what it
is. Sometimes you see little wisps of gold floating off of the edges of
this object. You can tell it is speeding up because it gets closer and
closer at a much quicker rate than you would have expected something
that far off to travel. Suddenly it is above you and you see a huge
golden cloud above you. It's raining golden raindrops everywhere all
round you and on you. As each drop hits you it feels warm on your skin
and sends a feeling of deep relaxation through you.
You feel the drops hitting you two and three at a time in
different places on your body sending their warm relaxing energy through
you. You are here for a few minutes with the golden rain feeling it's
warm relaxing energy surrounding you with peace. Next you visualize a
green cord coming from your second chakra and going deep into the earth.
It emerges in a cave in the center of the earth where this is a crystal
it attaches to. You ask the earth to send you its energy and it does.
When you are ready open your eyes. Using the energy of drumming
requires:
- Focus
- Visualization
- Intent
These three things can, when synchronized, with the
rhythm of the energy you create when drumming, cause wonderful changes to
happen all around you. Each tone the drum makes is a different vibration.
Each vibration corresponds to an energy type. The nature of the
combination of the tones and their rhythm and order all determine the type
of energy you raise. Higher tones and faster rhythms attract and create
more active types of energies to the drum and drummer. Specifically the
drummers' hands are instilled with the same type of energy that the
combination of tones their rhythm and their order attract and create.

expect when visualizing
