This is a very large drum and must have been carved out of an incredibly big tree. This drum has a very deep resonance and was used onstage during performances of Umoja during its first run. See attached picture. It is a very rare drum and is at least 70 years old.

This drum has incredibly beautiful design, is a very heavy strong drum made from hard Zimbabwe wood, either mahogany or Teak.
